This is an extraordinary story of faith and dedication, selflessness, and a deep trust in the LORD and His servants. In the seventeenth chapter of 1 Kings, the story is told of the widow who lived in Zarephath.  The LORD asked Elijah to go to Zarephath saying that He had commanded a widow in that city who’ll sustain him. The widow of Zarephath was visited by the Prophet Elijah in her time of great need and near hopelessness.
